Download a blank garment-detail trial record. List the location, design goal, face and support materials, pattern revision and conditions. Enter observations after an actual trial and keep unanswered questions visible.
Make a repeat trial traceable
Keep the first record when changing the support, pattern or process, then give the new combination another revision. State which question the repeat should answer. If several factors changed together, record the limitation so a later reader does not attribute the whole difference to the Melton face fabric.
A revised trial needs a change note
Keep the previous piece and identify the new face cloth, components and pattern version. List what changed before describing the result. If several variables changed together, say so rather than claiming the improvement proves the effect of just one material.
Record the exact detail observed and the question still open. Attach or index the buyer's photographs in the buyer's own correspondence.
